Report an Accident
Quick answer: tell us when and where an accident happened, what you know, and where it was reported. You can add up to 5 photos or videos. An editor checks every report before anything is published; your files and email stay private. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first (list by country).

Submission guidance
- Report road, rail, air, water and industrial accidents that have already happened. Do not use this form for emergencies.
- Give the time and an approximate location — a road, junction or area is enough. Do not include names, phone numbers or home addresses of anyone involved.
- Add the original source if there is one (a news article, police or authority post). Reports with a checkable source are far more likely to be used.
- Photos and videos are optional. Only upload material you took or have the right to share. Avoid close-ups of injured people, faces and number plates.
- How reports are checked: an editor compares your report with the source and other reporting, may contact you if you left an email, and decides whether to publish a news article. Unverified claims are not published.

Questions
Reporting an accident — FAQ
Is my report published straight away?
No. Every report goes to a private review queue. An editor checks it against the source you give and other reporting before anything appears on the site, and many reports are not published at all.
Who can see my photos and videos?
Only the site editor. Files are stored privately and are never shown publicly unless you tick the box that allows it and the editor decides to use them. Images that show injured people, faces or readable number plates are not published.
What happens to my email address?
It is optional and used only if the editor needs to ask you a question about this report. It is never published or added to any mailing list.
Should I report an emergency here?
No. If someone is hurt or in danger, call your local emergency number first. This page is for sharing details of an accident that has already been dealt with.
