Questions

Traffic cameras — FAQ

Are these traffic cameras live?
Yes. Every image is served by the transport authority that operates the camera and refreshes on its own schedule, usually every few seconds to a few minutes. Networks marked 'Live video' (London TfL, Caltrans, New York, Louisiana, Nevada, Québec, Delaware, Taiwan) stream video; the rest publish still snapshots that this page re-requests every 12 seconds.
Can I watch a traffic camera near an accident?
Open the state, city or country page for the incident: each shows the cameras nearest to the latest geocoded accident reports. A camera is picked by distance, so it is not always pointed at the crash itself.
Why is my country missing?
We only show cameras that a government or transport authority publishes openly. Many countries (including Pakistan, India, most of Africa and the Middle East) have no public feed. When an authority opens one, it is added within days — email us if you know of one.
Do you record or store camera footage?
No. Images and video are loaded directly from the authority's servers into your browser. Nothing is stored, and no camera is ever pointed or controlled by this site.

Camera lists are re-read from each authority every 6 hours; images are loaded live from the authority's own servers and are not stored by this site. Attribution is shown on every network page. Missing a public feed we should carry? Tell us.
